3. Analysis

First, we can know the larger the initial xyrad, the larger the diameter of the mesocyclone.

The following is arranging the maximum value of z-wind velocity of mesocyclone at each time and height(2km, 3km, 4km, 5km, 6km, 7km, 8km, 9km,10km).

The maximum value represents the z-wind of the mesocyclone because we want to see whether the updraft of the mesocyclone has become stronger.

Prior to analysis, we find out from this data that the z-wind size of mesocyclone increases to 7-9 km and

z-winds are the strongest at 7-9 km and then decrease thereafter.

So, the updraft of mesocyclone will be as follows.

: From this, we can see that z-winds of mesocyclone become stronger up to 7-9 km and then weaken.

z-wind at 1:05:00, by height

- In the case of initial xyrad = 5000 m, when mesocyclone is maintained, z-winds are blowing at an average wind speed of 32 - 40 m/s at an height of 7-9 km. And the maximum z-wind velocity is 40 m/s.

- In the case of initial xyrad = 10000 m, when mesocyclone is maintained, z-winds are blowing at an average wind speed of 36 - 40 m/s at an height of 7-9 km. And the maximum z-wind velocity is 40 m/s.

- In the case of initial xyrad = 25,000 m, when mesocyclone is maintained, z-winds are blowing at an average wind speed of 36 - 44 m/s at an height of 7-9 km . And the maximum z-wind velocity is 44 m/s.

To easily compare the size of the vertical wind of mesocyclone by the initial xyrad value, the table was graphically visualized.

This shows how much the z-wind blows at 36,40,44 m/s in each case.

44 m/s winds are only in the xyrad 25000 case where xy is the largest.

① when initial xyrad = 5000,

frequency of wind speeds above 36 m/s is 46 of 225.

② when initial xyrad = 10000,

frequency of wind speeds above 36 m/s is 55 of 225.

③ when initial xyrad = 25000,

frequency of wind speeds above 36 m/s is 59 of 225.

 

Thus, the larger the initial xyrad value, the stronger the vertical wind of mesocyclone overall.

We can analyze visually, not with the values.

4. Conclusion

As expected, the larger the horizontal scale, the stronger the updraft of mesocycle.
